Introduction
Welcome to the Department of Life Sciences!
The graduate program in the Department of Life Sciences is an interdisciplinary program comprised of 12 faculties from the Major of Biological Sciences and the Major of Molecular and Medical Sciences. Twelve research groups in the Department of Life Sciences span the broad spectrum of the life sciences. Our graduate program allows students to specialize in various areas including animal taxonomy system, insect ecology, insect sensory neurobiology, plant molecular genetics, animal behavioral ecology, social biology, metabolomics, fungal genomics, plant-microbe interactions, medicinal chemistry, drug discovery, molecular and cellular toxicology, cell signaling, genetic toxicity, molecular biology, virology, neurobiology, cancer biology and metabolism. Our modern facilities are filled with labs carrying out groundbreaking research in a collaborative, friendly and inspirational atmosphere.
The graduate program in the Department of Life Sciences offers studies leading to Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science degrees.
