Graduating from the Dept. of Industrial and Management Engineering, students can work in a variety of fields, such as manufacturing, transportation, and distribution, financial institutions, wholesale and retail, telecommunications system, information systems (IT: SI, consulting, venture), and public institutions, providing a more comprehensive range of career opportunities than any other engineering majors.
The Department of Industrial and Management Engineering produced 31 graduates in February 1984 and has averaged 70 graduates per year since February 1992, when nine-night graduates were produced, bringing the total to 1517 graduates by 2012.
These graduates are now employed as manufacturing managers, system engineers, planning and marketing, and hospitality and IT-related jobs.
Mid and long-term development plans
The Department of Industrial and Management Engineering at Incheon National University conducts education and research to equip students with basic knowledge and application skills in industrial management engineering.
Primary education and research areas include production and quality systems, human-machine systems, manufacturing systems, logistics, and management systems, and information systems at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
In the future, experts must have systemic thinking, knowledge, management, and problem-solving skills to solve complex problems and optimize the performance of industrial systems that are becoming more advanced, complex, and diversified.
The Department of Industrial and Management Engineering will reflect these changing future needs and train students to become professionals who can solve complex and cutting-edge problems.
Our Department will strive to cultivate the best industrial management talents by planning to further expand fields such as technology management, financial engineering, and marketing by reflecting future changes and diverse needs in addition to the education and research fields currently being conducted.
