Introduction
This department has graduated many students in the field of electronics engineering since its establishment of Masters Degrees in 1984, and Ph. D. Degree in 1997, respectively, pursuing in-depth study based on well-organized education systems. 18 professors majoring in computers, communications, semi-conductor, intelligent control, communication signal processing, microwave, optoelectronics, plasma display and wireless networks is advising and teaching students in their graduate degree programs. It also provides a variety of subject in accordance with the trend of the electronics technology advancement, and conjunct advising program and lectures with collaboration of adjacent departments, such as Information and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, etc. This department features a variety of laboratory and experimental equipment for support of graduate students’ research, and motivates vigorous academic society activities and industry-academia collaborated researches to ensure that substantial contributions to society. In accordance with the rapid development trend of the electronics sector, this department continues to recruit professors who specialize in new areas, and expand investments in research facilities to stand as top-level department.
Goals
The goals of this department include educating further advanced personnel with special engineering skills required for information and communications industry, semiconductor industry, automation industry. Furthermore, to produce advanced science and technology personnel to respond to rapidly changing technologies, and to enhance national competitiveness are the missions of this department.
