Principles
The Department of Energy and Chemical Engineering offers a graduate program leading to both Master and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in chemical engineering.
A bachelor’s degree with a strong background in chemical engineering from an approved institution is required for admission. International applicants must have a degree comparable to an approved bachelor’s degree of Korea. The matching of students and major professors takes place early in the first semester of study based on the mutual wishes and best interests of students and professors. Students with a strong background in chemical engineering or related disciplines and a serious interest in research are encouraged to apply for admission to our graduate program. For model details, check Admission Requirements of the Graduate School of INU.
Graduate students generally receive their financial assistance in the form of research assistantships, teaching assistantships and/or fellowships. Students admitted to the graduate program can be guaranteed financial support from the department in the form of a research assistantship. This support will continue as long as the student maintains satisfactory progress under the agreement of their major professors. Graduate students must fulfill the requirements of the Graduate School of INU and the Department of Energy and Chemical Engineering towards their degree.
